Violet Colors

The violet colors by Freshlook contact lenses are one of Ciba Vision's early entries. They have two letters at the lens edge to aid in determining if the lens is inside out. They come with or without a vision correction, and although they have been approved by the FDA for extended wear most eye doctors recommend not wearing them when sleeping to lessen the chance for complications.

Violet color contact lenses were expected to be a hit because it was rumored that Elizabeth Taylor had violet eyes. It turned out to be one of the less popular colors.

Careful: The violet color contacts do not show up on the eyes as much as the above picture suggests. It does, however, make a dark eye look lighter without adding much color.
